I was delighted to have been approached to work on a bespoke roman blind with a lovely customer, the customer came to me with a design brief to finish off a recently decorated kitchen.
The design brief involved making and supplying a roman blind that was simple in design and bring an element of prettiness to the room.
Using the beautiful Violet Olivia fabric range which includes a number of designs that met this criteria we mutually decided on Elsie, this design has an elegance to it with a floral design, it also only features two colours so this met the full design brief.
The kitchen had been decorated in a vibrant colour which added a lovely colour to the room, a muted grey was chosen for the blind to bring to compliment this.
The roman blind was handmade in the workshop and featured a headrail from the leading experts in the market, Tulip blinds. This was a very important feature for the customer as there are small toddlers in the home and safety is the key priority.
The blind was successfully fitted and now provides the family with privacy in the evenings when preparing dinner together.
